H ED paper

I am working on this Higher Ed paper and I'm sooooo rusty when it comes to writing.

Two points to consider:
1) Engineering degree - to be honest, minimal writing required and on top of that, there was right and wrong with DATA to back it up
2) While I've done well at writing for district and national publications for TBS/KKPsi, I could point out examples better and really do it almost as if it were me talking. That's not what this is.

Now I'm sitting here with 4.5 pages of my 5-7 page paper done. I need to do an intro and a conclusion. Right now, the conclusion is rambling.

Also, since I haven't done this in a while, I'm trying to remember how to do references.

Two words - geh and meh

Seeds in the NCAA tournament

Okay...my rant or frustration was the fact that I'm not so sure that Arizona should be in the tournament much less a 10 seed...yet a team like Belmont was a 15 seed. I GET that they are a small conference team but this was their 3rd straight year playing in the tournament. Year one they played UCLA who went on to the final game that year. Last year, Georgetown who played in the final four. For the most part, they held their own for a decent chunk of those games. I was SOOO frustrated to see them as a 15 seed. Why not a 12 or 13 to show a little more of them against a 4 or 5 seed.

Why did I think that would be better? Anyone see the Duke vs. Belmont game. HELLO?!?!?!? Give Belmont some credit for the future seeds 'cuz they did more than hold their own against those Blue Devils. Still think they were a 15 seed? Yeah, they did still lose by 1 point in the last seconds but wonder how they'd have done against a lower seed.

AAAAUUUGGH!!! Go Belmont!

Oh...and I'll still cheer for the Cats...I'm just not sure what team will show up. At least I knew what team could show up for Belmont.

Arizona STATE DAY post - FAKE

For ANYONE reading this... THIS IS A FAKE POST FOR A WORKSHOP. THIS IS NOT MY LIFE:

OMG did you hear what D.H. said? He was talking to a sister about that nasty debate during the joint meeting. The brothers were so stupid about debating the cup situation for that game with U$C. WHO gives a #$%@ about them anyway. And why does E.K. care so much about what Dr. Webb thinks. The trojans don't matter and they're mean to us. E has been crazy and out to get the sisters since he and T.W. had that fight. Whatever. We'll just keep thinking what we want to and fight them on their next project. Just like they did with us about the state day stuff and the honor band event and us wanting to bid for the publication when they wanted to bid for district convention. They always get the praise for stuff that we do and they just sit on their (*&#$ everytime. And really, they are totally the ones that turned us in for that party to Dr. Hood and to the Counselor and Governor...so much for bein' brothers. I know it was all S.P. that time cuz I saw S and A.C talking to Tanya and Kris during that DLC thing.S.P is just kissin' up cuz they want to be a district officer so they can sleep with as many people across the district as possible...what a man whore.

OKAY SERIOUSLY...THIS IS A TOTALLY FAKE POST TO MAKE A POINT ABOUT INTERNET GOSSIP. THIS IS MEANT TO SHOW WHY PEOPLE SHOULD BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THE INTERNET AS THEIR JOURNAL AND HOW IT CAN IMPACT MANY AREAS.

DLC in the Western District

I'm just wanting to say that the Western District did great things at DLC this weekend! Lots of fun and service and learning. I really enjoyed it! More later...

I have been reading about the candidates in each party as the primary is coming up soon in Arizona. I still haven't decided but I know which ways I am leaning. I would consider myself a relatively independent voter choosing republican sometimes and democrat others.

I hit an article today that I was actually pleased to read since the press had already said the nominee for each party was a done deal: Pundits take it in the teeth

After watching the news, some in parts of the country could start to wonder the same they do about the electoral college. Why vote if it's not gonna matter?

Since it's all still up in the air, then we actually can have a choice.
